Happy 79 To Pop Genius PAUL McCARTNEY

18 June 2021

Former Beatle and grand pop singer/songwriter/composer PAUL MCCARTNEY turns 79. He was born in Liverpool on 18 June 1942. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the most influential artists ever with an immense and astounding canon. With all what Sir Macca realized musically, in the first place with the immortal The Beatles, afterward with Wings and his numerous solo albums he achieved, rightly so, a Godlike genius status.

Here come 3 big Paul moments to celebrate his birthday…

17 May 2021

Band: THE BEACH BOYS
Album: PET SOUNDS – 11th LP
Released: 16 May 1966 – 55 years ago

AllMusic / Richie Unterberger: “The best Beach Boys album,
and one of the best of the 1960s. The group here reached a whole

tracks upon tracks of vocals and instruments to create a richly
symphonic sound.”

PAUL MCCARTNEY Drops Two Brand New Tracks…

New sonic impulses

22 November 2019

Still no retirement time for the imperishable PAUL MCCARTNEY. A couple
of days ago he was officially announced as the first headliner for Glastonbury
Festival 2020
and it looks like the ex-Beatle wanted to celebrate that by dropping
two brand new songs today.

The first ‘HOME TONIGHT‘ is pure McCartney: catchy, melodious and uplifting.
The second one is quite different. ‘IN A HURRY‘ is an elaborated pop symphony
with multiple segments and plentiful of polyphonic harmonies. Yep, the man still
knows at 77 how to build, compose and construct appealing pop songs.

27 July 2019

Today 45 years ago, on 27 July 1974 the best-selling artist ever PAUL MCCARTNEY & his WINGS hit the top spot of the albums chart in the UK with their third LP, bestseller ‘BAND ON THE RUN’. One of the highlights was/is the resistlessly catchy ‘MRS. VANDEBILT‘. The track was released as a single in Continental Europe and Australia, but weirdly not in the US and the UK.

C’mon sing along ‘Ho, Hey Ho’…

Knockouts from the past

13 April 2019

Today 45 years ago, on 13 April 1974 ex-Beatle PAUL MCCARTNEY & his WINGS hit the top spot of the albums chart in the US with their third LP, bestseller ‘BAND ON THE RUN’. The first single from the record was JET. A scream along corker McCartney still plays live these days. The song was named after his dog, a jet-black Labrador. Here’s a live version
of that classic…
