New sonic impulses

Living legend NEIL YOUNG (73) teamed up with long-time Crazy Horse friends, bassist Billy Talbot (75), drummer Ralph Molina (74), and old pal, amazing guitarist Nils Lofgren (who played with Bruce Springsteen for several years), who, at 68, returned to recording with Young nearly 50 years after he began. The quartet locked themselves up in a studio
in the mountains of Telluride, Colorado last April. The result is a new album titled simply ‘COLORADO’. The 10-song LP will be out in October and a documentary about the LP’s creation, titled Mountaintop Sessions, will be released alongside it.

Here’s the lead single ‘MILKY WAY‘. A shadowy love song reminding me for some reasons of Young‘s 1975 pitch-black masterpiece Tonight’s The Night because of its ramshackle, basic, nostalgic and raw tone, yet here’s a spark of hope to feel free. Capture the mood here…
