THE HORRORS – Finally Back With New Highly Flamboyant Single ‘MACHINE’…

‘Machine’ by THE HORRORS

British darksome rockers THE HORRORS are finally back. Brand new single MACHINE is a slashing industrial knockout, like a boiling jam between Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode with a superb sonic result. Quite different in sound from anything The Horrors did before. A dazzling score! Press the button and taste the rattling force here…

The band is working on their fifth album. Bassist Rhys Webb said earlier about the new work in process: “We wanted to get back in there and get writing. We had a really busy year of touring, so we were ready to get working on new stuff. It’s just because time flies, and it moves so quickly and before you know it, it will be a couple of years between releases” And frontman Faris Badwan added: “Don’t ask me what it sounds like. I could say anything to you now and
it’d sound completely different by the time we finish it.”

WOLF ALICE Will Return With New Album – But First The Extremely Furious Lead Single ‘YUK FOO’…

Noise that thrills us in a way we want to scream out loud…

After the superb 2015 debut album ‘Love Is Cool’ and after stunning concerts (I saw them glowing four times) all around the globe, British ardent rockers WOLF ALICE became one of the best new bands on this planet. Today – 12 June – they launched the first single from their upcoming, second longplayer. YUK FOO is an absolute banger injected with bottled up fury, out-of-control anger and crushing verbality. Gorgeous singer Ellie Rowsell is on fire. She fulminates like an eruptive volcano, almost out of her mind. Somebody hurt her really bad. Start her heated fuck you rage here, at your own risk…

[Verse 1]
Am I a bitch to not like you anymore?
Punch me in my face, I wouldn’t even fight you no more

[Chorus]
Cause you bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
No, I don’t give a shit

[Verse 2]
I wanna fuck all the people I meet
Fuck all my friends and all the people in the street

[Chorus]
Cause you bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
Well, I don’t give a shit (shit, shit, shit)

[Verse 3]
I don’t wanna be cruel, but you’re really grinding
I’m not a fool but I have a rage and it’s blinding
I feel it coming, is it exciting?
Yeah I’m unwinding

[Chorus]
You bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
No, I don’t give a shit
You bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
No, I don’t give a shit

[Post-Chorus]
You bore me to death
No, I don’t give a shit

[Bridge 2]
I have feelings, cause I’m a human
Totally self-destructive, constantly consuming
Now I’m fucked, I fucked you too
So fuck the world, and you, and you and

[Chorus]
You bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
No, I don’t give a shit
Cause you bore me
You bore me to death
Well, deplore me
No, I don’t give a shit

The band will release their 2nd album Visions Of A Life on 29 September via Dirty Hit.

ROYAL TRUX – Legendary Underground Trash Blues Duo Is Back… ALIVE

ROYAL TRUX – DOK, Ghent, Belgium – 7 June 2017

After 17 years chaotic blues rock duo ROYAL TRUXNeil Hagerty and Jennifer Herrema – is back with a ‘new’ album. PLATINUM TIPS + ICE CREAM is actually a live album with recent recordings of old songs from a concert in New York and one in Los Angeles . It will be out 16 June via Drag City. Here’s a sludgy taste…

.
And in support of that fresh record the ex-junkies & ex-lovers, with a lot of noisy help from a cracking guitarist and a smashing drummer, are back on the road. Last Wednesday they landed in my hometown Ghent. Definitely hefty to see them alive (they look pretty healthy after all these years) and back on stage again. What we got was what we wanted. Forty-five minutes of anarchic and trashy blues garbage. No special effects and perfectly out of tune. Raw, destructive and gloriously crude. Like a mix of filthy Stooges, some deranged Captain Beefheart havoc and Herrema growling and snarling like a tortured reincarnation of Janis Joplin with a ‘who the fuck cares‘ attitude. Hell yeah! Something like this (but much louder)…

Picture this…

A smoke, a drink and lots of roars…

So happy together again…

Fans in trance…

Nice boots, Jennifer…

GUIDE DOG – Experience Pounding Glam Grunge Debut Single ‘I AM THE DADDY’…

Noise that thrills us in a way we want to scream out loud…

‘I Am The Daddy’ by GUIDE DOG

Out of Cardiff three Welshmen are ready to conquer the world while barking like fierce noisemakers. Frontman, songwriter and guitarist Peter Roberts has been around making music for some time now (with People Planes, the wonderful Cold Specks and solo). At one point he quit touring to become a daddy but soon teamed up again with some old friends to start GUIDE DOG. They canned debut album ‘Lovely Domestic Bliss‘, produced by long-term collaborator Dan Austin in just three days. It will be out 7 July. But first debut single
I AM THE DADDY. A heavy grunge smack injected with a pounding glam rock chorus that will activate all nerves and muscles in your spinning head. Open windows and doors, turn it up and wake up your neighbourhood with this incendiary blow. Here’s the beast…
